Lea graduated from Duquesne University in 2011 with a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy Degree and a Minor in Psychology. After working in more “traditional” Occupational Therapy settings, Lea decided to pursue the specialty of driver rehabilitation to provide clients with the ultimate independence. Lea joined Driving to Independence in October 2015.
A client once told her, "you never know how much you appreciate being able to drive until the ability to do so is taken away from you." Being able to drive makes a huge impact in our independence from being able to go to work, attend school, run errands, and even visit family and friends without having to rely on others. It is such a rewarding feeling to be able to provide someone with this level of independence and Lea is grateful to be a part of that. In her spare time, Lea enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and volunteering.
