Testimonials
Once the van was adapted, driving lessons began. I was terrified, but Jenny knew when to push me and when to back off. By the end of my second lesson, I was very confident. From that point on, lessons were fun and something I looked forward to. If you have a disability, or know someone who does, I can’t recommend Jenny and Driving to Independence enough.
I’ve had limbgirdle muscular dystrophy for so many years, and hadn’t been able to drive during college, but thanks to Jenny, Jason, Jill and the rest of the team helped me from start to finish through the assessments to make sure I was going to have the right adaptations through literally learning how to drive with a joystick to driving off in my truck! Thanks guys!
They don’t treat you like a client they treated me as a friend. And I will never forget them, so if you always wanted to drive but never thought you could, think again cause you never know what tomorrow brings!
My experience with Driving to Independence has been amazing and smooth on their end. They helped me with every step of the process thoroughly. From picking the right car, making sure I learn how to drive and the rules of the road, and making sure that the modifications fit me like a glove. The driving instructor Jon Sarli (Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant) is the best driving instructor there is. He is so passionate and patient, he really puts his all into teaching you how to be a safe driver. And Jenny Nordine (Registered Occupational Therapist, Certified Driver Rehabilitation Specialist) is also amazing in which she made sure every went well and answered any questions about the process. I seriously recommend Driving to Independence for a disabled person looking for a secure way of obtaining the independence of being about to drive yourself.
