Senior Driver Safety Review
What is a Senior Driver Safety Review?
The Senior Driver Safety Review offers older adults a proactive, non-medical way to check in on their driving skills—without needing a diagnosis or doctor’s prescription. This supportive service helps individuals and families understand how natural aging may influence everyday driving, promoting safety and confidence for as long as possible.
Eligible drivers receive a brief vision screening, a review of roadway knowledge, and an on-road drive assessing real world decision-making, vehicle handling, and awareness of driving risks. Those with MVD/DMV letters or pending suspension/revocation are not eligible and require a comprehensive clinical assessment instead.
After the review, participants receive clear feedback and education about their performance, along with recommendations if a more in-depth evaluation is needed. No reports are sent to physicians or the MVD unless the client requests it.
A proactive, non-medical review of driving skills to support safe driving as we age.
